Recently I have been doing film reviews on this site but failed to take one very important factor into account. I have a regular All Regions DVD player. I realized (d’uh) that not all people have this version and that not all of the movies that I have reviewed only come in digital. Some can be found in Blu-ray. These, of course, are usually the videos from foreign countries, so I am hoping to rectify this. I will go back over my reviews and add this information. For those of you who use your computers to watch videos, this may not be as relevant to your situation.

Some of you may have a regular DVD player which is fine if all that you watch are American films. I had one of these for quite a while, but when I started to see films that required a special player for them, I looked into the prices for these. I found Phillips had a good All Regions DVD player for a reasonable price (I believe it was around $35 at the time). An All Regions player is great for movies from Europe and Asia that might not have found an American distributor.

When it comes to Blu-Ray players, I must admit that I am not an expert. If anyone can recommend a good brand for Blu-Ray, let me know. I’m sure that Blu-Ray players also come with an All Regions option. If you are like me and prefer to buy DVDs as opposed to going on Netflix or Hulu, then be sure to check the Region option before you make your purchase.
