turbokidThis dystopian (2015 Canadian) movie is of course one writers look at the future. I have to say, that the young man (Munro Chambers)  in the movie, not only plays the part well, but is believable. Michael Ironside, plays himself, oops I mean the bad guy ‘Zeus’.

Although before I got sick, I can’t imagine me acting the same, I am sure I would be close to it.

Quentin Tarantino and George Martin would be proud of this one. If you want to see a realistic portrayal of the old English “drawing” of intestines you will love this. of course it is a new age method of the same thing.

There is more foul language than I like in the movie, but a lot of blood and gore as well… not that I like that more, but it does add realism. I have always found it odd that people get shot and a little bit of blood shows up, when my uncle has told me many times that it is almost like the body explodes, even a stab would causes more blood than what you see in most movies.

After a great opening, the movie turned into a comic book about twenty minutes into the film. I lost my interest, but continued to glance at the screen sometimes. For comic book fans and the macabre, this is the movie for you. No horror here, just a lot of blood and comics. I rate this 3.5 out of 5 stars.

  1. This sounds ok, but if you lost interest it definitely isn’t one I would rush out to buy!
