The-Mummy-Returns-Rick-and-Evie-rick-and-evelyn-6304612-720-480May 2001, The Mummy Returns is released to theaters. Not sure why but it took another two months for me to see the movie. A delightful  Freddie Boath (UK) as Alex becomes a part of the movie. But will he be another Harry Potter or will he be a real kid? Thankfully he was a real kid, a character you could believe, and he played his part well.

This had all the action and comedy and even tears, much more than the original, it was a welcome change from the other movies of the summer.

Great acting, great photography and special effects, and very good directing.

Usually the sequels for a movie are not as good as the original (The Lost World comes to mind!). This however is just as good as the first one and the addition of Alex makes it even more entertaining by just being a mischievous, but not annoying kid. Add in the action and overall entertainment and this is definitely a movie that should be added to your collection.
