Remmy’s review of The Hateful Eight

The Hateful Eight 30 December 2015 rated R for violence & strong language. I have to say this 2 hour and 48-minute movie did not let me down. There was so much action I missed the foul language. Lots more died than just The Hateful Eight.

Now a lot of people do not like Quentin Tarrantino films, and after seeing Kill Bill, I can understand why, but this is his 8th film and it is a masterpiece compared to his previous films. I was taken in with the first few moments and although many of you will say it is too slow at first, you will have your mind blown. The killing is spaced between the slow parts, and you are always guessing at what will happen. A side note, I would never live in any area that had snow!

Not too many movies show what the old west was like. Most are like Little House on the Prarie, great for what you love, but not realistic. There are a few films that come close, Bone Tomahawk for one, but nothing like this. Blood and guts. I rate this 5 out of 5 stars. Take the time to watch it.

This is one Quentin Tarantino film that I liked. It had mystery, blood and guts, and plenty of action. All of the actors did a great job. The directing and storyline were very good. My only complaint is with the film’s length. Just because a film is 2 hours plus long does not make it an epic. This, however, came very close to being an epic.

This is a cool movie full of action but also a good amount of humour. I like Morgan Freeman and he doesn’t disappoint in this. It might be 2 hours long, but they are an enjoyable 2 hours 🙂 5/5
