Remmy’s review of John Wick Parabellum

John Wick Chapter 3 Parabellum, 17 May 2019, rated R. In John Wick 1 and 2, we see our hero/murderer take on dozens of bad guys and survive. Not to be outdone, John Wick takes on all the poor people of New York (the movie points out that most of the street people in New York City are assassins… hmmm) He takes on normal hitmen, the Wu-Tang, and countless others and survives.

By this time we are greeted with a thought… John Wick is a superhero. NOT. He is one lucky man, that is for sure. He took on a few people in John Wick 1, he took on two different mobs and the hierarchy of assassins in John Wick 2, now he takes on the whole underworld in john Wick Parabellum.

Although I enjoyed this movie and give it 5 stars out of 5, I do find it hard to believe he survived this. At the end of the movie, you will get another surprise. In my opinion, John Wick has been elevated to SuperHero, Super badmen status. Not a good outlook for someone we fell in love with over a puppy.

John Wick has been elevated to a fantasy character. Just better looking than the ones you see in Marvel and DC. If only he would shave!

I haven’t seen this yet, but I will watch as soon as possible. I do think it is sad that John Wick seems to start out as a man seeking revenge for the death of his dog and the writers decided to try to make him seem like a Marvel superhero.
