Krampus Dec 15, 2015, PG-13I, for one, do not understand how the original Christmas story could get so messed up. The original Christmas Story was written and recorded by the Lapp people. The statements, ‘You better watch out’. ‘You better not pout’, ‘You better not cry’ come from that ancient text. When I say ancient, I mean over 4000 years ago when man first started writing. This had nothing do to with the Christian form of St. Nicholas (if you actually read this version of Christmas in its original form you will realize how evil St. Nick actually is.) My point being is that Christmas is not your Coca-Cola modern look at Santa which was made to get you to spend more than you can afford.
Like today, the original story of Christmas was to get children to behave. Well for at least a few days a year. That is before they invented ADHD and Ritalin for kids, both evil things to boot. Kids will always be kids, and except for bullies, those kids should be left alone to grow up normal. Bullies should almost always be stuffed in a chimney permanently, as far as I am concerned. The original Christmas Story did not call Santa – Krampus, that came much later, but it did describe a horned monster that stole and ate children.
Remember, like Santa, Kris Kringle, Krampus, in this case, is just imagination, but I must add, that all myth is based on fact. Krampus or Saint Nick, or Santa Clause are real demons. There I said it.
I love this movie and give it 5 out of 5 stars, and I own it, and Paul and I actually watch it every year. Even though it is not exactly like the original text, I think it is great. It is more realistic than Santa Claus. How other cultures picked up on this and turned Santa into a Good guy and Krampus into a bad guy I have no idea, they are the same person. I can only imagine that adults finally realizing that Santa was a demon decided to make a Good Santa and a bad one so kids would be fooled by the clown Santa that eats their souls, and bodies. I do not suggest watching this with children unless you want them to know the truth.
P.S. Chrismas is a pagan holiday to detract from the Creator of all things.
