It was just two weeks ago that I mentioned “at least it was not Cowboys and Dinosaurs” when I was cowboysvsdinosaurstalking about a movie. For heaven sake, I spoke too soon. It seems that in 2015 someone did in fact make a movie called Cowboys Vs Dinosaurs.

Can you imagine that? I didn’t actually see any cowboy’s in the movie, however there was one washed up rodeo guy in it. The setting is a dull western town (okay lots of people dress up like cowboys in Montana) but that does not make them cowboys. You can tell a cowboy by his smelly boots.

Now, if you like the Sharknado series from SyFy, you will love this. The dinosaurs were not bad, I give the CGI a 3.0 which is a couple steps higher than Sharknado. I was really surprised they put that much money into a movie. The acting was very sad. The premise was even worse, however if they would have had a decent director and a budget, maybe this could have helped. Lots of killing, not much blood and of course in any B movie you have to have blonds. In the movie I felt that blonds ran faster than brunettes.

I rate this 2.5 out of 5 stars, if only for the dinosaurs. It will not be in my collection.

Oh my, that looks so cheesy!
I think you have been very generous with the CGI rating, they look like they have been ripped from the original Jurassic Park cutting room floor and then not been transferred very well 😉

  2. This must have been a “straight to video” type of movie. I can’t think of anything else that you said that I don’t agree with. I sure as heck would not watch this or “Sharknado” (the title was as bad as the plot of the movie). For me, the worse part is that it came out on my birthday! 🙁
