Remmy’s Review: 2036 Origin Unknown

2036 Origin Unknown, June 2018, Rated TV-14 staring Kate Sachoff as a strange scientist and Steven Cree as the voice of a computer. A monolith on Mars, which is actually a cube instead of a monolith on Pluto. A computer that has its own mind (HAL?)

Personally I felt that this was a remake of several SciFi movies, except for the end of it. Even though this has great reviews from scifi people, I am not a scifi person, I rate it 3 out of 5 because this is just a different ending to the same movies we have seen in the past.

I’ve seen better. This reminds me of some elements from “2001: A Space Odyssey” and “Space Balls”. I felt that it was a bit muddy at the end with the audience left guessing. Just because a lot of scientific sounding terms are used in a film does not make it believable.
