This movie is definitely one that went unnoticed for most people, which probably explains why it was released on DVD/Blu-Ray just two months after its theatrical release

midnightThe story revolves around Roy and his biological son, Alton Meyer, trying to escape from the government and a cult after he discovers that Alton has special abilities. With the help of Roy’s friend, Lucas, the boy is transported across country to take him to see his mum.

Due to his growing powers, Alton has to wear dark goggles and can only be transported at night. In daylight they have to black out the windows and during a stop-over at an ex-cult members house it soon becomes clear why.

I found the effects to be really good, especially during the gas station scenes, and the acting is believable throughout. The story is also one that I found new and interesting and you are kept surprised throughout.

The movie was given bad reviews in some places but I liked it and it is in my collection. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

I thought this was a great movie. It depicts how our South Eastern USA neighbors would react to the US Government, this time better than the old days. The movie, overall, was laid back, but it did have some very intense moments.

I have heard there are people out their that subscribe to this theory, and there have been several books written about it. This is the first movie I have seen that actually depicts it. I wish they would have shown more of that part of the movie.
