london_has_fallen_ver2_xlgThis movie is the sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and follows the President of the United States, Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart), along with his security guard Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) as they fly to the UK to attend the funeral of the British Prime Minister who died suddenly following routine surgery. They soon discover that there is a plot to assassinate all of the world leaders as they are together in London.

The action is pretty much intense from the beginning and continues throughout with explosions and fighting just like in the original. However, there are things that stood out to me right away that would have a real security agent concerned. If you were not from the UK you probably wouldn’t notice it, but it did make me wonder what was going on.

That did not mean that I didn’t enjoy the movie, as I did, and the effects were really top notch when famous landmarks around London were being blown to pieces. It is one that is worth a watch but not one worth adding to the collection.  My rating is 3.5 from 5 stars, mainly due to the fact that it is pretty much the same as the last one but based in a different location.

3 Thoughts on “Paul’s Review of London Has Fallen w/trailer

I loved the movie but most of the foul language was out of place. Agents don’t talk to the president that way or around his family not very professional. so 1 star off for that. I did love the movie though that is the most I have ever seen of London um before it blew up. If you collect action movies you will love this. I will not have it in my collection. 4 of 5 stars from me.

    Excellent review Paul!

I didn’t see Olympus Has Fallen but if, as Paul said, same premise, different location, then I’ll pass. There were at least three things that bothered me about this movie, BUT I won’t mention them. No spoilers!

I agree with Paul and Remmy. It is worth watching, but not really worth buying.
