I really do not feel good

Since the inception of this site, I thought my BIO would cover most things. For the longest time, it did! On the other hand, some new things have come up, and you need to know why I have not been active on my site, gaming, or writing. A few months ago the doctor said he wanted to do a biopsy (called a punch of all things) on a growth on my neck. We finally got together with it (he had some very bad health problems as well during this time). He did the biopsy, and although it wasn’t cancer, soon it would have been. So now we have to keep an eye on those sort of things. I was not in any pain for any of this.

Nine days later he took out the stitches, two stitches to be exact. I thought it was so funny. They checked some other things during this time, which I won’t go into until we get more information. So I went home, oddly I didn’t feel right at all. The guys and I play Armored Warfare almost every evening. I was looking forward to that. However Paul and I started playing, and thirty minutes later, I could not focus. I had to lay down. All night long I tossed and turned, coughed, and was just miserable.

When you are wheelchair bound your wheelchair is never more than 1 foot from the bed. So the next morning I threw my legs over the side of the bed and stood up. Then I fell down. My legs and body were not cooperating, to make it worse, my face hit the nightstand, bloodying both sides of my nose. Here I was, on my knees, with no one to help me stand up, bleeding all over the place.

I think it odd that I go to the doctor for something so silly, and the next day I can not move. Mel seems to think it is some kind of influenza if so it is one I have never had before!

Regardless it has been over 2 weeks and I am not better. I have fallen several times but nothing as bad as the first time.

Now that you know what is wrong, Steven, Paul, and Mel will continue with the site because they love me (RIGHT GUYS????) Let’s hope whatever this is, doesn’t last long, or put me in the grave!

I will do my part concerning the site. I do, however, hope that you get well soon.

Get well soon, and maybe we need to wrap you in cotton wool as you are officially now more clumsy than me (joke – don’t get bent over it 😛 )

Sorry to hear about your problems and hope you soon recover. My balance has gotten worse in the past three or four months resulting a couple of severe falls, nothing broken but each has taken nearly four weeks to recover. Thus I have started using my wheelchair for places where I used a cane before.

Have you thought about getting one of those alert pendants where you can alert someone if you fall? I have been looking just have not decided whether to get one or not. So far I haven’t been alone when I fell, which is a very good thing.

Dang James, I thought you got lost, thank you for posting. I have lifeline James. But there are some secrets to be aware of, especially if you are disabled. They will call the paramedics and they are fast, however, if when you fell, the front door is locked, they then bust the door down, causing you over $100 in damages,

Now if it is daylight and your door is unlocked of course that doesn’t happen. How many of us are going to fall during the day, and how many disabled people are going to have that door unlocked at any time of day.

I still have it for many reasons, just keep in mind the damages when you call for help.

  4. Ooops, I’m sorry. I didn’t know I got a homework assignment. I owe you some posts.
