Greetings Remmy Meggs fans! I have known Remmy for about three years now and when he asked me to post reviews on his site, I was very flattered and a bit intimidated. I want to make sure that he does not regret that decision and therefor thought that I would give you all a bit of an introduction to myself.

I am a (soon-to-be) sixty-five year old “ogre” (I am not green since everyone knows that only trolls are green) who lives in Los Angeles, California. I was born in Massachusetts, joined the Army in 1971, graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a major in the Russian language. I have worked as a cashier at a fast-food joint, stocker for Toys R Us, telemarketer, and a security guard. I am also reworking on a novel that I wrote which I hope that you will read when it is finished and published.

My taste in music and films tends to be, shall we say, “eclectic”. I like foreign films, historical fiction, comedies, documentaries, and adventure films. The films that I select are from my own personal collection and I hope that you may come to enjoy them as much as I do. I have decided that I will not review any videos with music concerts (I know that everyone has different tastes), animated films, or any videos with gratuitous sex scenes, i.e. John Waters or Andy Warhol.

Some of these films you may have already seen and formed your own opinions about them. I would love to read your comments about them and hear about anything that you got from your viewing experience. Some you may never have heard of and those are the ones that I hope you will view with an open mind and sense of adventure.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who “Liked” my previous reviews. I also would like to thank Remmy and Pauly for their encouragement and friendship.

Thank you Steven for that introduction. Now 10,000 plus readers will know who you are. I should have Paul do an introduction. . . naw I say enough about him so everyone knows who he is.

Nice introduction, and we don’t think you are an ogre. I leave that to Remmy when he just wakes up in the morning 😉

  4. I guess Remmy is calling me an ogre because I am over 5 foot 6 inches. Looking forward to retirement in a few years so that I can spend more time reading. Don’t watch many movies originally because we could not go to a movie and sit thru the entire movie. Plus my partner is hard of hearing and likes action movies with little speaking to follow. My self I don’t care for action movies but prefer ones with good plots.

Tried Netflix for a while but could not find things that I liked. Have Amazon prime now for other reasons but may start watching some movies. My partner uses it for watching movies.

I have read the items that Steven has posted in comments and etc. But don’t believe that I have seen any of his writing. Perhaps he should post where it can be found.

The posts are on the front page for 2 to 3 days, then they are moved to the date, on or about, the movie was released. To see those, on the right menu you will see Categories. In that drop down you will see Movie Reviews. Click on that, and you will see the movies, including ones StevenF has reviewed.

It would also behoove you to join the Email subscription, also on the right, then you are notified all all new posts that are made. That way you never miss one!

Where you see Movies, those ones we have previewed, usually ones we would like to see. We can not review because they are not out yet.
P.S. You can also use the sites Search box to find things
