Growing up, I think I was eleven we visited relatives that lived on a Reservation at Rosebud, South Dakota. I got to stay in a tipi for
several days with some of my cousins, boys and girls. We had a blast. We had a little fire in the center, and the tipi glowed. The adults had a sweat lodge and they stayed up half the night. They seemed to enjoy themselves too, although they slept in my aunt and uncles house.
I learned a lot that weekend, more than I had ever learned about my ancestors before. I saw this on facebook and had to share it with you.
A redneck told me to go back where I came from, so I put up a tipi in his back yard. —Charlie Hill #NativeHumors
