Extinction (July 2018) This movie is loosely based on a Stephen Hawking prediction. I am not going to tell you what prediction though, but it is not a good one. A man, Peter (Michael Pena) is having horrible nightmares.  Aliens, dead bodies, people getting blown to bits. Nice and bloody, but life is precious, and the aliens are winning. yet they have a plan and have been working on it for years, expecting this attack, someone listened to Stephen Hawking at least. Amelia Crouch plays Hannah the youngest daughter, girls she can sure cry. There was a lot of action and I can’t call it adventure because took place in offices and tunnels, but it was fun to see how THEY lived.

I have to give this 5 stars alone on creativity, another 5 stars for CGI and another 5 stars for photography. Then why did I give this film 4 stars instead of 5? Because they could have easily got well known people. with acting skills, to play the lead parts and made the acting more realistic. Overall this is an exciting tribute to Hawking and to you! Do not get me wrong, the acting was fine, but mediocre, it could have been better.

4 out of 5 stars.

I saw this last week and thought it was a decent movie. At one point, the story line became predictable. I agree with Remmy that the actors were good, but this could have been a showcase with more well-known actors. It didn’t even have an “appearing as” actor. Was it for budgetary reasons?
The character of Hannah I found to be annoying. How many times does her family have to rescue her or keep her quiet? Remmy is more generous than I would have been in his ratings, but that is why I didn’t write a review.

  2. This looks like a good movie. I’ll put it on my watch list.

This was an awesome movie and I was definitely not expecting the way in which the story panned out. I’m glad we write reviews with NO spoilers 😉
And btw the main character, even though he isn’t what you what call a big star is one that has been in some big shows before.
