Death Wish (March 2018)  Bruce Willis as Dr. Paul KerseyVincent D’Onofrio as Frank Kersey, and Elisabeth Shue as Lucy Kersey and a host of others that I did recognize, but not well enough to put their names in here. I really expected this remake to be over the top with the names that were featured. However I was disappointed. Bruce Willis is not known to have facial expressions, similar to that dolt Tom Hanks, who by the way in his last movie did have a few expressions.

With a director like Eli Roth, I expected it to be a bloody movie, and it was to a certain extent. I dislike movies where people get killed and there is no blood. It is just not realistic, of course you can go the complete opposite and have a Quentin Tarrantino blood bath for no reason at all with the exception of The Hateful Eight where the blood was in line with the action.

I did enjoy many of the scenes of this movie, you always love it when a bad guy gets what he deserves. In life that is not realistic either, but we can always hope.

I found Bruce Willis overall to play the part he did, well, I just think his expressions did not show any feeling (remember that Tom Hanks) Without feeling you are getting a one dimensional view of the people either in a book or on film.

I rate this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars, worth seeing but not worth buying.

I tend to be skeptical about remakes, but I can’t really say much since I never saw the Charles Bronson version. I like Bruce Willis and especially his performances in the Red films.
Emotionally, I agree with Remmy about his performance here. I might even be able to overlook it. I would put this on a “To Watch” list, but I wouldn’t say I HAVE to see this right now! The story has some good action scenes, which Willis tends to be good in.

The trailer makes it seem good, but I would never believe Bruce Willis was a doctor 😉 I will look out for this.

I definitely want to see this one. I loved the first movie with Charles Bronson. I’d like to see how this one measures up.
